May - Replevin - And now on this day came the parties by their respective attorneys and Issue being Joined, thereupon came a Jury […] who being duly sworn well and truly to try the issue Joined between the parties, after hearing the Testimony of Witnesses, the argument of counsel and the charge of the Court, retired to consider of their Verdict and thereafter and upon the same day said Jurors returned into Court and rendered the following Verdict to wit: We the Jury do find the said slaves in said plaintiffs’ declaration mentioned to be the property of said plaintiffs and do assess their damages at our cost,

Whereupon It is ordered considered and adjudged by the Court that the plaintiffs do have and retain the possession of the said slaves in said declaration mentioned, and do have and recover of and from said defendant the said sum of our cost, for their damages together with their costs in this behalf expended […]
